Samsung have announced an eco-friendly mobile phone that has been made from a recycled plastic called PCM, which is recycled from plastic water bottles. The handset and phone charger are completely free of toxic nasties, such as Brominated Flame Retardants, Beryllium and Phthalate. The phone is fitted with a solar panel on the back of the phone, which is designed to ensure you always have enough power to make a phone call. (more…)

AltusLumen have released a new portable PAD-L LED torch gadget, which is the brother to their TRI-L Contemporary Personal Light. Supertank Slimline rainwater tanks are a new concept was designed by 2 architects who wanted to create a highly functional water tank without sacrificing appearance or space. It appears that the Nintendo DS Lite was made for solar panels, as the Instructables author dark sponge has created a useful solar charger for the DS Lite. The top face has enough space for two 60x60mm solar cells side by side, each outputting 3V at 40mA. (more…)
