Using nothing but damp soil and 2 different metals, the current that’s created is enough to power a digital clock. Konarka Roll-up Solar Chargers

Konarka Roll-up Solar Charger

Konarka Technologies have announced their Roll-up Solar Charger that uses ultra-thin solar panels to harness the sun’s energy. Although the product is still in development, there will be two variations of the charger. The first version will be a direct charger that charges up devices like mobile phones and MP3 players. The second version will contain an internal battery which is charged up via the rolled up solar panel. Then battery is then used to charge devices. (more…)
