The Human Powered Ferris Wheel, otherwise called the Star Wheel, is a device created by Paul Cesewski. The contraption weighs 2000 pounds and reaches up 22 feet into the air. There are 3 seats inside the wheel, and each passenger has their own set of peddles. As you cycle inside the wheel, you’re driving yourself around the inside of the wheel. The SolarVoice 908 created by i.Tech Dynamic is a completely wireless Bluetooth handsfree kit that is charged via solar power. In bright sunlight, the manufacturers claim it will fully charge in 15 hours. Alternatively (and for first use) it can be charged via the mains or USB in just 3 hours. Talk time is set at around 5 hours when the headset is fully charged. If the headset always has access to sunlight, then standby time is effectively infinite. (more…)

Dahon has announced the BioLogic FreeCharge, which is a bicycle charging kit that connects to any dynamo hub on the market, allowing you to charge your iPod, iPhone, mobile phone and other portable gadgets.
