BioDegradeable Picnic Plates and Utensils

By Dan (EnviroGadget Writer) on August 11th, 2008

Most western societies have a very throw-away nature, one of many reasons our landfill sites are filling up fast. I applaud this use of eco friendly technology, a biodegradable picnic set, as it means it doesn’t matter if the plates, etc get left around in a field after a festival or picnic, as it’s all 100% eco friendly. Solar Powered PIR Security Light

By Dan (EnviroGadget Writer) on August 4th, 2008

However, if these lights are coming on several times in an evening, it’s probably going to cost a bit in energy costs so you also want an energy saving gadget. The Solar Powered Security Light eradicates that issue, as you charge up a battery using solar energy, and still get the security light functionality you want. (more…)

Toilet Humour – Actually a Crap Idea

By Dan (EnviroGadget Writer) on July 28th, 2008

The “Shit Box” is a wonderful trademark name, despite not being a product you’d chat about with your parents or other prudish family members. You’d need to be a fairly liberal individual to want to use the Shit Box, which is an eco-friendly portable toilet. All components are biodegradable, yet the toilet box itself is re-usable. Inside the toilet are special bags that will happily breakdown if left to compost. (more…)

Conventional fossil fuels costs are going through the roof at the moment all over the world. The EFuel100 MicroFueler is essentially a home distillery that allows you to create your own ethanol supply using yeast and sugar. Combined Washing Machine and Toilet

By Dan (EnviroGadget Writer) on June 27th, 2008

Combined Toilet and Washing Machine

Washup is a bizarre conceptual design that combines a washing machine and a toilet in the same place. The idea is that waste water from the washing machine is used to flush the toilet, rather than wasting fresh water to flush the toilet. (more…)
