K'Nex Solar Energy System

When I was a kid, I loved LEGO. I had all kinds of Technic LEGO, and used to spend hours playing with it. Well K’Nex are just the same and have an educational kit named the K’NEX Solar Energy System. The kit gives kids hands-on experiments with solar energy, building a total of 7 different models.

Although the kit is aimed for teaching and classes, the kit is suitable for a wide range of ages. The kit includes a total of 618 K’NEX pieces. All 7 models can be built at the same time too. The solar kit contains two 1.38v 500mA solar panels, four solar motors, four 30cm power cords, two capacitors for energy storage, and a teacher’s guide on CD-ROM. The kit also comes in a hard-wearing case which should be student-proof.
