Nokia KIT Eco Charger
The Nokia KIT Eco Charger is an energy saving phone charger that will automatically switch itself off when the phone is fully charged. This means you can leave the charger plugged in all night, and it will only be switched on whilst the mobile phone is charging!
The blue button on the front of the charger glows when the phone is being charged, and is switched off when the charger is switched off. According to Carphone Warehouse’s statistics:
“If everyone in the UK used a KIT Eco Charger we would save approximately 300,000,000 kwh of electricity per year. At an average cost of 28.5p per kwh, that would be a collective saving as a country of £85m!”
It’s about time someone developed one of these. Though it is much more expensive than the usual £2 mains charger from eBay, priced at a whopping £23!

Its about time someone did this, although given the price difference it’d take a lot of use to make your money back. Really hope it takes off though.

Yeah, I think it’s just a publicity stunt. They need to be handing these out for free with all Nokia phones.
