By Dan (EnviroGadget Writer) on September 8th, 2009

Oxygen of Green Table

The Oxygen of Green Low Table is the creation of Industrial Designer Mingling Wang. Essentially the table uses a soil-less plant called Tillandsias to purify air in the home. The air purifying table is pitched as an alternative to energy-consuming air purification gadgets.

Oxygen of Green - Tillandsias

The Tillandsias plant produces a decent amount of oxygen, particularly at night. By having the table in the main room of the house, you get the benefit of the cleaner air where you spend most of your time. The Tillandsias plant grows without soil, since water and nutrients are absorbed through the leaves. Additionally, carbon dioxide is absorbed form the the air and oxygen is produced in its place.

I have seen this table a few places and I am interested in possibly buying it, the problem is I have not found a place to buy it or how much it even is. Does anyone have a website where I can buy it or at least find out the price?

    Thank you,
    Shelli

    Hi Shelli

The device is a concept, so I’d be surprised if it was being produced at all yet. I suggest you contact the designer directly.
