Indesit Eco-Friendly Washing Machines
Indesit have announced 2 new washing machines to join their Hotpoint lines, the Indesit Aquarius and Indesit Ultima. In addition to the common features such as water and energy efficient usage, these washing machines are actually constructed from recycled materials.
Indesit have developed a project to recycle shredded plastic waste from old refrigerators and turn the plastic into a high grade and usable polymer. This reduces CO2 emissions, cost, and the volume of raw materials needed to build a new washing machine. The washing machines are packed with the usual features such as programmable washing and advanced interfaces, making it a desirable green gadget.
Indesit are very active when it comes to washing machine patents, but it’s refreshing to see some environmentally friendly innovation too!

I am amazed by some of the products available today in terms of their improvement on energy efficieny. A Tampa Fl TV station recently featured an add on product that supposedly allows you to eliminate using hotwater a detergent. The product uses a ionization process. I’m a bit sceptical yet but will check into it.
Even the biggest appliance companies today such as LG, Whirlpool and Samsung concentrate largely on efficiency. But in addition to that, you can also find new technologies such as direct drive motor system and smoother suspension system incorporated in front loaders. These are the “to-look-for” features because these assures you that the machine will last longer.
