Energizer Solar Battery Charger

The Energizer Solar Battery Charger was recently announced, which is a charger that charges AA and AAA batteries using the sun’s energy. It’s the first time I’ve seen a major battery manufacturer releasing their own solar charger gadget.
The solar charger gadget also features an AC adaptor and a USB socket so that you can charge up the charger when there’s no sun around. Would be nice to see it make from recycled materials though. The charger is expected to retail for around $50 when it hits the market sometime this year.

I agree, I think it is great to see that major battery manufacturers are starting to get into the solar game. If these places keep putting out gadgets such as this they will be able to sell them in masses to not only eco-geeks but also camping and survivalist enthusiasts.
