Collapsible And Portable Solar Powered Lamp

This Solar Powered Lamp Concept aims to provide a lamp that is easily transported and is able to be used in many different situations. The lamp can be collapsed down to allow it to be transported with ease and to allow easy charging. It can then be opened up to provide a large lighting area when illumination is required.

The Collapsible And Portable Solar Powered Lamp is a concept designed by Swedish designer Jesper Jonsson. The lamp is designed to allow people to be able to spend more time outdoors, having the lamp provide mood lighting or to use multiple lamps to light up an area for an outdoor picnic, or any outdoor event. The lamp can be hung from a strap which is attached to it by magnets. The magnets allow you to position the strap however you wish, helping to provide a range of ways the lamp can be hung for charging and for use.

The lamp is designed to be folded away when charging, into a small sized item that can be taken easily along with a person wherever they go. The lamp requires charging by day to allow its internal batteries to charge to provide lighting at night. When the lamp is required, it is simply twisted open, allowing it to unfold to provide a large surface of lamp by which it can illuminate an area. The Collapsible and Portable Solar Powered Lamp Concept is a great idea for a eco-friendly powered light source that can be transported to wherever it is required.

Oriental-style Solar Garden Lanterns

Well the summer is definitely upon us in Europe, so if you’re having a garden party this year, you’ll love these quaint Oriental-style Solar Garden Lanterns. The lanterns come as a pack of 3 white and 3 red lanterns, which light up using bright LEDs. The white lanterns have special colour-changing LEDs that cycle through a whole rainbow of colours.

The lanterns are very straightforward to install, as they have no need for trailing wires. Each lantern is completely self-contained with its own solar-charging panel and battery unit. There’s no need to worry about bringing them in when it rains either, as the lanterns are 100% waterproof. All you do is just attach the lanterns to a nearby tree, hanging basket or even just the washing line.

Ambient Light from Vertical Solar Blinds

A pair of designers by the names of Yoon-Hui Kim and Eun-Kyung Kim have come up with a blind that features a solar panel on the outside and lighting on the other side. During the day, the lighting charges up via the solar panels. At night, the room glows using arrays of LED lights in the shape of conventional looking lighting, such as lampshades and bed-side lamps.

Thankfully the lighting comes with switches, so you don’t have the lights on all the time. The lighting is perfect for romantic or party atmospheres. If you don’t need bright light, the idea works well to provide lighting using free energy. I wonder when we’ll see displays where you’ll be able to dynamically configure the pattern?
