MIA Electric Flashlight Lamp Concept

The MIA Flashlight Lamp is a solar powered light that can be used either as a traditional torch or opened out to create a lamp. This concept allows you to only need to take the one light with you to satisfy different lighting needs.

The MIA Flashlight Lamp is a concept that has been created by designer Jia Dai to provide a light that is able to be used to suit a range of lighting needs. The light is capable of charging itself through its solar panels even during use as a lamp. The lamp feature allows you to hang the light up to be a lamp for situations like when out camping or even in your house. To charge the light you need to ensure that the solar panels are left in a bright spot. By letting the light charge through the day you ensure it can provide illumination at night or whenever the torch is required.

The light makes use of the energy efficiency of LEDs, the LED allows the light to produce a bright focused beam for the torch and a spread illumination as a torch while using very little electricity. This concept light would provide a handy light, either as a torch or as a lamp that is powered through eco-friendly energy as long as you can remember to leave it to charge!

Solar-Powered Window-Mounted Light

This Solar Window Light has been created to provide solar lighting that is small and easily portable to provide illumination for a range of windowed areas. The light has been designed to be stuck onto the inside of a window to charge through the day and provide a powerful light at night.

The Solar Window Light is stuck onto the inside surface of a window by three suction pads. These pads securely fix the light onto the window to allow the solar panel to charge during the day to illuminate at night either on that window or to be taken off and placed elsewhere. The suction pads and the lights size allow you to be able to take the light with you for use when out in a caravan, in a boat, for use in a shed or in a cabin.

Each light has 6 LED bulbs within it. These allow the light to produce a powerful illumination while using little electricity due to the LEDs energy efficient qualities. The solar panel charges two rechargeable AA Ni-MH batteries within the light, these can be replaced or charged elsewhere if needed. The LEDs will produce light for over 12 hours when the batteries are fully charged. Some thought is required in positioning these lights when charging them to ensure they are receiving enough light to charge adequately. Each light has two different light power settings and if you still require more illumination additional lights can be brought and positioned onto windows to create a lighting pattern.

The light measures 9.5 cm (3.74 in) in diameter, though taking into account the sucker pads the light then measures 12.5 cm (4.92 in) at its widest point. The Solar Window Light is a convenient eco-friendly lighting solution for areas which receive a decent amount of sunlight during the day but lack adequate lighting at night. It can be used in a wide range of places to provide solar lighting and easily moved elsewhere when required. The light is also ideal as a nightlight for children, where you don’t need to worry about the energy costs associated with leaving a light on overnight.

This Solar Light Pot by Tricod has been designed for outdoor use, to provide a modern looking light source for a garden. The light is suitable for placed on a patio table, on a wall, or anywhere you require outdoor lighting.

The Solar Light Pot has a solar panel built into its top, so that it can take advantage of any daylight around. The solar panel charges a rechargeable Ni-Cd AAA battery which powers a LED bulb. By using an LED the light requires very little electricity to run brightly, which allows the light to work during the evening after even a quite dull day. If a light is required on an evening after a day of very little sunlight the drained battery could be replaced with a full one. We would recommend using another rechargeable battery that could be left in the device.

The light pot has been constructed out of water and corrosion resistant materials, so that it can be left outside ready for use in all weathers without any worry of it becoming damaged. The light automatically turns itself on when dusk falls, though it can be turned off if the light is not required. The lights modern design, bubble pattern and bright colour allow it to stand out in any garden.

As it requires no wiring it is easy to set up wherever you desire additional lighting, though some thought must be given to ensure it is exposed to some daylight by which to charge. As the light is solar powered there are no long term running costs to using it. The light pot has a diameter of 8.9 cm (3.5 in) and a height of 14 cm (5.5 in) which makes it perfect for use as a light on an outdoor table, to lighten up a evening party or BBQ. It is also then small enough to be taken with you when camping if an additional light is required.

The Acer S243HL 24inch LCD Monitor is a super-slim 15mm thick monitor boasting full 1920 x 1080 high definition (HD) resolution, extremely high contrast ratio of up to 8,000,000:1, two HDMI interfaces and a nippy 2ms response time. The Dynamo Pedometer with Flashlight is a number of little gadgets rolled into one. It features a pedometer which will count the number of steps as you walk or go jogging. Solar-powered torches seem to be quite popular these days, but this Solar Powered Reading Light is the kind of size that you can keep on your keyring, and use for emergencies or finding the keyhole when you’re coming home drunk at night!

The 2 bright white LEDs are great for general torch related illumination. The flashing LED that flashes between blue, green and red is a pretty good attention grabber. You could use the torch when camping, or for reading maps at night, etc. The real benefit of this torch is that it’s compact, as well as being solar powered.

The LightCap 200 is a smartly designed solar-powered light that converts standard-sized water bottles (such as those made by Nalgene®, Camelbak® and GSI®) into a useful and safe lamp.

The LightCap 200 is a great little green gadget, completely waterproof, uses no batteries, and weighs only 74 grams. The LightCap uses four small but bright white LEDs that switch on automatically when it gets dark. The LightCap is screwed onto a water bottle filled with water and will diffuse the light if the water is sufficiently cloudy. Adding a fruit squash or cordial to the water will turn the light different colours too.

If you need a supply of water or light in an emergency, you have both!
