The smart shower is a multi functional and energy saving shower desired for the James Dyson Awards. The shower uses heat exchanger technology to reduce energy consumption, and aerating shower heads to reduce water consumption. The shower has an integrated work basin that allows you to bath babies, wash your hair and other cleaning activities.

The smart shower has been created to allow less-abled users to shower easily with a 2 door system and internal safety rail. Unlike other shower units designed for disabled users, the smart shower doesn’t look like it’s been designed for disabled users. This allows the shower to be used by a greater range of individuals as well as saving some embarrassment for those with limited mobility.

A rather interesting feature is that the shower has been designed to be easy to install and dismantle. This means owners can take the shower with them when they move home too! So the smart shower is universal, eco-friendly and re-usable!

Guide Gear Popup Solar Shower Shelter

If you’re on the beach or out and about in your car, trying to change clothes without revealing yourself to the world is pretty hard work. The Guide Gear Popup Solar Shower Shelter is a simply a tall vertical tent that quickly unfolds into a portable and private changing room. If you’re out camping, then the shelter works equally well as a portable shower cubicle, as it comes with its own 5-gallon PVC Solar Shower.

The shelter measures roughly 120cm x 120cm x 195cm (4′ x 4′ x 6’6″), which can accommodate the vast majority of individuals. To keep it as a semi-permanent structure, the kit also comes with some pegs so that you can stake it to the ground. Eco-Friendly Solar Pocket Shower

The Eco-Friendly Pocket Shower is ideal if you’re out and about, but likely to need a shower in the middle of nowhere. The shower zips into a 45mm x 80mm x 140mm pouch and weighs just 120g, but when unfolded, it can hold up to 10 litres of water. You basically fill the shower up with water, leave it in the sun for a few hours to warm up, and then wash!

The shower comes with 6 metres of cord so that you can tie it to a tree branch or tent pole. With up to 10 litres of water, you’ll get around a 7 minute shower. The Eco-Friendly Pocket Shower also has a special nozzle that allows you to adjust the flow to match your ideal spray setting.

When you’re done, just fold up the empty shower bag, and carry on with your camping! A pretty cool camping gadget that won’t take up too much space in your backpack. You can get your hands on a pocket solar shower for just £14.95.

Sylvania ECOlight – Water Powered Shower Light

SYLVANIA’s ECOlight LED Water Powered Shower Light is a fun eco gadget that will give you light in the shower, powered only by the flow of water through the gadget. Using a tiny water turbine, the flow of water produces enough energy to illuminate you when giving yourself a scrub.

The LED light itself is adjustable, so you can point it in any direction you want. As an additional safety feature, the outside edges of the ECOlight will change to red when the temperature goes above 41 degrees Celsius (105.8 degrees Fahrenheit), or go blue when the temperature goes below 25.5 degrees Celsius (78 degrees Fahrenheit).

Sure it doesn’t serve any particularly practical purpose, but it’s fun, easy to install and doesn’t need any batteries.
