A major advantage of wind and solar energy is their transfer ability and use anywhere required. It is required just a specific amount of sun or wind energy to start production of renewable energy at home. Tonio Buonassisi finished his PHD during 2006 from university of California, he aimed to go out of academia and cover all the roofs of world with solar panels which will offer clean and carbon free energy for this and future generations. An available cash strapped university research program was not available to convert this plan into practical solution for solar energy. But there were enough dollars available to invest for solar energy production and research at MIT. This amount was doubling with time over couple of the years. As a grad student having “lived through times of famine” Tonio took a decision to take appointment and went for working in Marlborough, MA which was dealing with solar panels. (more…)
