The Lucet is the name given to this solar powered indoor light design. The light comprises three LED lights surrounding one battery charging area that has a solar panel on the back. The device can then be placed onto windows to charge from the sunlight during the day and illuminate the room at night. The concept is similar to the Spider Solar-Powered Light by Powerplus.

A common issue with solar-powered lights is that they often output a very weedy light beam. I’ve found that with most solar-powered lights for the garden, that they have a very artificial look about them. Most often, the solar lights you get are in a black or silver finish, which can look very out of place in a garden. Carly Hagins is an industrial designer who has created the Tonto Task Light, which is a solar-powered gadget designed to light your path when out trekking and walking. During the day, the small solar panel charges the internal battery, at night you can switch between white light or UV light.
