The SolarMature (odd name!) is a solar-powered desktop or bedside lamp that uses solar panels on the lampshade. The lamp is completely standalone, and doesn’t need to be near a power point. It can be used in the garden or in the home, however, you need to make sure it gets plenty of sun light if used indoors. (more…)

A US company called Husqvarna has just announced the release of an eco friendly gadget, the AutoMower Solar Hybrid, which is basically a solar-powered (topped up with mains electricity) automated robotic lawn mower. Once a garden is set up with an underground perimeter fence, the AutoMower Solar Hybrid can manage cutting lawns up to half an acre unattended. (more…)
