USB Drive made from Newpaper and Wood Chips

In August I reported on the eco gadget, recycled plastic and recyclable EarthDrive, and this is another green gadget, Swedish USB Drive product that seems to be made of the same paper and wood chipboard that all Ikea furniture is made from! The recycled paper drive looks very plain and is otherwise the same as any other USB drive in terms of specification. (more…)

8GB EarthDrive – Recyclable Flash Drive

It seems that computer gadgets are a new target for the eco-friendly world, with low power PCs and disk drives using recycled materials. Today we get to see the ATP 8GB EarthDrive made from bio-recycled plastics (not sure what bio-recycled means compared to recycled!) for an attractive $48. The housing of the device is completely recyclable, although this is no good unless you want to throw the drive in the trash! (more…)
