The Vac From The Sea is a concept by Electrolux to create vacuum cleaners from recycled plastic. Rather than using any old plastic they specifically wish to create vacuums from the plastic they will be gathering from the sea, either from floating plastic expanses or from shore lines.

So you’re probably wondering why I consider a vacuum cleaner to be an eco gadget, well the Morphy Richards Ecolectric Vacuum Cleaner some great eco-friendly aspects, so I think it’s worthy of a mention. The vacuum cleaner most notably uses a 1000W motor rather than a conventional 2000W motor used in other upright cleaners. This means there’s a 50% saving in energy usage!
