The Energizer Solar Battery Charger was recently announced, which is a charger that charges AA and AAA batteries using the sun’s energy. It’s the first time I’ve seen a major battery manufacturer releasing their own solar charger gadget.
The solar charger gadget also features an AC adaptor and a USB socket so that you can charge up the charger when there’s no sun around. Would be nice to see it made from recycled materials though. The charger is expected to retail for around $50 when it hits the market sometime this year.
