Ionising Light Bulb By Eudemon
This Ionising Light Bulb is an energy saving light bulb that also produces negative ions. These ions are thought to help clean the air of things like dust and bacteria to help improve the air quality.
The Fresh Light Ionising Light Bulb by Eudemon claims to help improve the air quality in a room where a bulb is in operation by ridding the air of odours, pollutants, contaminants and smoke. The makers suggest that a bulb would be able to cleanse the air of odours by nearly 40% in two hours.
The light bulb is an energy saving bulb that uses only 10w of electricity to produce the equivalent light of a 50-60 w incandescent bulb. The bulb has an ion generator contained within its structure. The negative ions the light produces are thought to be effective in removing things like pollen from the air, along with dust and odours, and so could be beneficial to those who suffer from breathing related conditions.
There is some debate on the effectiveness of negative ions to cleanse the air effectively, especially if there is a single light in a large room space. The makers however believe there is supporting evidence to the bulbs effectiveness. At the very least the bulb will use less energy than an incandescent equivalent.
The Ionising Light Bulb is available for just £9.95 with free delivery.

Let’s not lose sight of what the world is all about. Air quality in a place where people are. In general it is normal to have bacteria and dust in the air.
Not all people can cope with particles and dust in the air. Many of my friends suffer with their asthma due to particulates in the air.

A light bulb isn’t the answer.
I don’t know if it ionizes the air – could not tell any different.
Cons:
1. It buzzes. Its fine at first, but it is at very high pitch which is really annoying
2. If you have white ceilings (and most of us do) – don’t buy it!
After few months of use, I had enough of it (see number 1) and decided to replace it. My light bulb was covered by a glass feature, so I only noticed it when I have taken it off (glass). The ceiling around the bulb was black! So, it must be working… But! I could not take this black stuff off the ceiling! Tried to wipe it, but it is kind of greasy/oily – only made it worth… Ended up spending half a day cleaning and painting the ceiling.
